Pre-Tournament Check-In

Pre-Tournament Check-In is on Tuesday November 22 from 5pm to 9pm at the Dick’s Sporting Goods located in the Fountains at 801 S University Drive, Plantation, FL 33324

 

Things to Bring to the Check-In

1)5 copies of your official roster

2)Laminated player and coaches passes

3)City of Plantation – Plantation Athletic League Sports Waiver Form

  • One form for each player and coach

 

4)Club medical release forms

5)[U18] Sport Medicine waivers

  • Note One form required for every player on every team…[U18] is the name of the company not the age of your team

 

6)Guest players should be uploaded on the roster by your club Registrar and you must include guest player forms. If a guest player is written in. Please bring guest player form with you. Only one (1) copy of each guest player form is required

 

Requirements:

Official State Roster (FYSA), US Club Roster, AYSO Roster or other National Organization Roster for clubs outside of Florida.

All players have to be included on the roster.

Guest players within the club have to be pre-printed on the roster. Only guest players from outside the club can be hand written.

Uniform jersey numbers are required for all players.

All coach and bench staff personnel have to be on the roster.

Medical Release Forms for each player signed by a parent. These do not need to be notarized.

[U18] Sports Medicine Waivers…Note One form required for every player on every team…[U18] is the name of the company not the age of your team

Player Passes for each player, coach, assistant coach, manager

Guest Player Forms signed by the borrowing club’s Registrar for any guest players outside the club. Guest Player Forms for players inside the club are also required if the guest players are not pre-printed on the roster.

State Permission to Travel for all teams outside of Florida. This does not apply to US Club rosters.

 

Plantation Thanksgiving Classic

Plantation FC is pleased to invite your club and teams to participate in the 30th Annual Plantation Thanksgiving Classic. The tournament will be played November 25-27, 2016. The Annual Plantation Thanksgiving Classic is one of the top ranked soccer tournaments in the State. Please apply early to secure your spot as we once again anticipate having teams from all over Florida in this year’s tournament!

 

The Plantation Thanksgiving Classic is sanctioned by the Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) and is open to all US Soccer members (US Club Soccer, AYSO, USSSA).

 

When

After you have had your Thanksgiving Feast, the competition will begin on Friday, November 25th and concludes on Sunday, November 27th, 2016.

 

Where

The Plantation Thanksgiving Classic will be held in Plantation, Florida. The fields are Pine Island Park, Central Park, and Sunset Park. The parks in Plantation are excellent soccer facilities and are some of the best fields in the state of Florida. These parks host many other state competitions and are often sought after by other local clubs as host sites for their tournaments.

 

Who

Gold and Blue Divisions are open to Boys and Girls U9 through U19.

 

Levels of Play

Gold: U9- U19 Age Group Brackets

The Gold Division is for Division 1 teams and competitive Division 2 teams.

 

Blue: U9-U17 & High School U19 Age Group Brackets

The Blue Division is for Division 2 and newly formed teams playing in the Division 2 or 3 levels.  If the number of applications at a certain level allows, additional flights will be created to allow appropriate competition. U8 teams can play in the U9 brackets. Based on the number of applicants will be matched against other U8 teams.

Registration deadline October 31st ($50 increase in registration fee after October 31st)

 

How Do I Register

 

Teams may pay by credit card online. Teams/clubs wishing to pay by check should make their check payable to Plantation FC and note the team name and registration number on the check memo line.

  • Make payment either via credit card or by check
  • Any team not accepted will receive a refund
  • Any teams which withdraws after the application deadline of October 31st, 2016 will not be eligible for a refund
  • Any team registering after the deadline of October 31st, 2014 may be placed on a waiting list depending on availability.

 

Entry Fee

$600 for U9 and U10 (playing 7 v 7)

$650 for U11 and U12 (playing 9 v 9)

$750 for U13 and older (playing 11 v 11)

 

Registration fee INCLUDES the referee fees.

 

Entry fees received after the deadline of October 31, 2016 $50 late fee.

 

Tournament Format

Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.

 

U9 and U10 teams play 7v7 and may carry up to 12 players with 4 guest players allowed

U11 and U12 teams play 9v9 and may carry up to 16 players with 5 guest players allowed

U13 to U19 teams play 11v11 Roster cannot exceed 22 players. The roster for a match may not exceed 18 players. Maximum 6 guest players.

 

Guest players are counted in the roster maximum. During the tournament a player may play for only one team.
