The U13 girls played Sunrise in what proved to be an exciting evening game that had been rescheduled due to Hurricane Wilma. The Eagles displayed one of their strongest performances of the season to beat a Sunrise team that also competes in the Statewide league.
The first half was an evenly fought contest with both sides having chances to take the lead. In the second half, the Eagles began to dominate the crucial areas of the field and had most of the possession. The Eagles finally scored what proved to be a decisive goal with Brianna Stampler firing a shot from outside the penalty area that left the Sunrise keeper stranded as it rifled the roof of the net. Sunrise came back strong but could not find away through the Eagles defense which included clearances off the line from KK Brisbin and Jen Nardone. Overall, solid performances from every player and a great display of teamwork on the field.
